Biography

Tayyar Büyükbaşaran currently is Executive Director of Research and Monetary Policy Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT). He began his professional career in 2004 at State Planning Organization (now the Turkish Presidency of Strategy and Budget), and has since held positions at Federal Reserve Bank of Minnesota (FRBM) , the Turkish Presidency of Finance Office and CBRT. He earned his economics PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2014. With over 20 years of experience in central banking and economic research, he currently leads the department responsible for research and monetary policy at the CBRT.
