Biography

Pietro Tiberi is a manager at the Bank of Italy's Information Technology directorate general where he has worked since 2013 in the Operations directorate. He is the head of the technical support team for the payment systems (Target2, Target2 Securities and TIPS) that the Bank of Italy manages on behalf of the Eurosystem. He previously worked as an engineer at the WIND telecommunications developing monitoring and support systems for mobile and fixed networks. Pietro has master’s degrees in electrical engineering and space physics and has authored scientific publications in the area of space physics, carbon footprint and quantum security in payment systems.
