Biography

Victor Oboh is the Director of the Monetary Policy Department and Secretary to the Monetary Policy Committee at the Central Bank of Nigeria. With over 27 years of experience spanning monetary, fiscal, and trade policy, he has served in key national and international positions. He has previously held the positions of National Economist with UNDP Nigeria, Policy Advisor with DFID’s PrOpCom programme, and Senior Research Assistant at IFPRI. At the CBN, he has led major initiatives in macroeconomic policy analysis, inflation targeting, and monetary policy communication, and previously headed the Macroeconomic Policy Analysis Division. A holder of a doctoral degree in Agricultural Economics, Victor has authored 48 scholarly publications with over 900 google citations and maintains active memberships in leading professional associations.
